TIK For Windows


Tik is an AOL instant messaging program. It is not as pretty as AIM nor is it as abundant in functions, but it does allow multiple user names to be logged in at once. So it can be beneficial.


To install Tik:
  1. You need winrar to Extract the files. You can download it here.
  2. Next download the Tik RAR file here.
  3. Once they are both downloaded, run wrar271.exe. This will install WinRar.
  4. After the installation, extract tik.rar.
    To do this:
    1. Right click the tik.rar file
    2. Click on the 'Extract to tik\' option
    or
    1. Double Click tik.rar
    2. Drag and Drop tik\ and tcl831.exe into the directory of your choice
  5. Then run tcl831.exe. This will install Tcl/Tk.
  6. After both of these are installed, go into the 'tik' directory and double click tik.tcl and you are good to go.
